Since its inception, ValueOptions has led the nation in successfully managing directly contracted, publicly funded behavioral healthcare programs. Through partnerships with states, counties, regional agencies and provider organizations, we assure the delivery of quality behavioral health care services to more than 3.5 million consumers in the United States.

The diverse and talented staff at ValueOptions has developed the understanding, technology, programs and philosophy to effectively manage care for Medicaid eligible and uninsured consumers. In each of our programs, we have increased access to lower intensity, community-based programs; developed new programs to address the needs of high-risk populations; and actively engaged consumers and families in all program aspects while managing within funding parameters.

ValueOptions recognizes that each state or local government has unique behavioral health care priorities, delivery system challenges and program goals. When your agency needs support in managing mental health care or substance abuse services, ValueOptions is the contractor with the experience, expertise and commitment to help improve your delivery system for the consumers and families who use it.
Across the nation, ValueOptions has demonstrated its ability to implement programs designed specifically to meet the needs of that state or region. We have unparalled expertise in blending our services with existing delivery systems.

ValueOptions' behavioral health programs are customized to the needs of each client. Often, programs include assessment and referral to counseling, predicated on the assumption that care should be available and affordable and that each consumer should receive the appropriate treatment at the appropriate level of care. Referrals are made by ValueOptions care managers: seasoned, licensed clinicians available toll-free 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We also partner with local community behavioral health centers, clinics and drop-in centers to provide support in the communities where consumers live and work.

ValueOptions’ managed behavioral health care services are consumer-centric. We believe that consumers, their family members and their advocates are vital resources, and encourage active participation in all aspects of care delivery. Consumers and their family members participate in Consumer and Family Advisory Councils that guide our efforts to improve the quality and outcomes of services. They are also involved in efforts to train providers and staff about the principles of recovery.
